Customers came, they shopped, then cracked open their fortune cookies and claimed their prizes !
The last weekend of September marked our 3rd Annual Fortune Cookie Weekend, where shoppers spending a minimum of $10 were eligible to select a fortune cookie from our big basket.
We had hundreds of happy winners all weekend and it was a great way to kick off our fourth quarter, which is our busiest time of year.
Congrats to all the “FORTUNATE” winners. Enjoy your prizes
Cool fall weather has finally arrived and that certainly gets people more in the mood to cook and bake.
We’re ready for ya !
Right now our focus is Halloween, which has emerged as one of the most popular social events on the calendar. Sure, kids still get excited about wearing crazy costumes and trick or treating, but the BIG KIDS are having just a must fun with parties and other Halloween themed events.
Cookin’ Stuff carries a wide selection of Halloween related cookware, dishes, party trays and extremely cute decorations. Our Halloween section has grown dramatically over the years, plus, you can’t miss the display right when you walk in the front door.
Our resident chef, Ken, has coordinated a series of product demos every Saturday through Thanksgiving.
Upcoming demos include: Swiss Diamond on Oct 20, Cuisinart Fondue and Griddle Grill on Oct. 27, Wustof Knives along with Lodge Cast Iron on November 17.
Product demos are a great way to see a product in “action” before you buy it.
Time Warner CitiCable-TV Channel 3 produced a feature on Cookin’ Stuff, which aired in September in Torrance. This piece focused on the store’s most popular gadgets and included product demos with our own, Ken and Time Warner reporter, Ivy Dai. Just last year the show “Common Sense” produced an entire half hour on the store.
See video clips of that show at the very bottom of our home page.
