Recipe Title: Breakfast Pizza
Submitted by: Wendy Wallis from Sussex, WI
Category: Breakfast/Brunch
Suggested Number of Servings: 4 to 5

Ingredients:

  • 8 ounce can crescent dinner rolls
  • 1 cup shredded or cubed frozen hash browns (thawed)
  • 1 pound sausage
  • 5 eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup shredded cheese of your choosing

(other optional toppings of your choosing)

Instructions:

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Thaw hash browns. Seperate dough into 8 triangles. Place triangles in ungreased 12-inch pizza pan; press over bottom to form crust; seal perforations. Put hash browns on crust. Meanwhile, brown sausage until pink is gone. Drain well and put over hash browns. Beat the eggs, milk, salt and pepper together. Pour over the pizza. Top with cheese.

Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Let cool 5 minutes to set; then cut like a pizza. Serves 4 to 5.

Prep Time: 15 Minutes
Total Time: 45 Minutes

Additional Comments:
I have used chopped up breakfast sausage links instead of the sausage.
You can basically improvise with the toppings this as much as desired (kind of like you do with an omlet), adding things such as chopped onions, chopped tomatoes, chopped green pepper; maintain the egg and milk quantities to prevent overflowing.
