Recipe Title: Cranberry Stuffed Dates
Category: Appetizer
Suggested Number of Servings: 6
Prep Time: 20 Minutes
Total Time: 20 Minutes
Ingredients:

Cranberry Stuffed Dates
4 ounces cream cheese, softened
1 Tablespoon granulated sugar
1 Teaspoon vanilla
1 Tablespoon fresh orange juice
1 teaspoon orange zest, finely grated
2 Tablespoons dried cranberries, finely chopped
16-18 large dates, pitted and split
2 Tablespoons pecans, finely chopped

Instructions:

In a medium bowl combine the cream cheese, the sugar, the vanilla, the orange juice and the orange zest. Beat until well combined and smooth. Stir in cranberries.

Stuff each date with the cream cheese mixture and sprinkle with chopped pecans.

Transfer to a serving plate. If desired, garnish plate with strips of orange peel.

Additional Comments:

“A wonderful and easy appetizer for the holiday season. At other times of the year substitute another dried fruit for the dried cranberries. Also, any type of nut can be used. For example, use finely chopped dried pineapple with macadamia nuts.”

Happy New Year!! Lets get started!!

Happy New Year Everybody! I just wanted to update everyone on the exciting things we have planned for 2006. First we are having a recipe contest online. Send in your favorite recipe and the winner wins a 6pc Le Creuset set valued at over $400.00! What a great way to start the new year!! We are having our annual sidewalk sale on February 18th 9 to 4 so mark you calender now so you wont miss out on all the bargains.

In March we are having lots of demos and specials so be sure to stop in and check them out.

Off to April we are having a Easter Egg Hunt. The fortune cookie event was so much fun we thought we would try it with Easter Eggs. Spend $20.00 and you get to pick an Easter Egg out of the basket with prizes inside. From gift cards to Kitchen Aids so be sure to join us on April 7th and 8th.
