1st Place Winner of The Picnic Pot Luck Recipe 2008 Recipe Contest

Recipe Title: Punch Bowl Cake

Suggested Number of Servings: 6
Ingredients:
1 yellow cake mix
1 tub cool whip
1 can of pineapple (drained)
1 8 oz package of cream cheese
1 sm box of vanilla *cook and serve* pudding
1 box of frozen strawberries in sweetened juice
Instructions:
Cook yellow cake mix as instructed, set aside to cool
Cook as directed the pudding, when it thickens add cream cheese-stir until melted (let cool)
Put drained pineapple in the pudding mix
Take a clear container/bowl and add in layers…cake, pudding, strawberries, cool whip..repeat…
Put in fridge for 1 day…no cheating!!!! Cake has to absorb all the flavors!!!
Prep Time: 15 Minutes
Total Time: 25 Minutes
Additional Comments:
I can’t tell you what a mistake this is bringing to your ‘work’ brunch…Every celebration ie: birthdays, retirements, etc… This cake is a MUST HAVE !!!! When you finally get the email of ‘who is bringing what’ to the occasion…someone always marks my name down for this cake. I never get to bring anything else…
